Ira Bey has worked in technology for over 30 years and with technology-based web solutions since the late 1990s, during the web’s infancy. Ira received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Wisconsin Lacrosse in 1993 and a master’s in HRD (Human Resource Development) from Northeastern IL University in 1998. Ira started his first company in 1999 by the name of 3CIXT (360), with a couple of his colleagues who worked for Anderson Consulting just before launching their new startup company. It began as an e-business consulting company servicing neighbors and small to large businesses within Lincoln Park and the surrounding areas in the late 1990s. In 2000, Ira and his Team achieved a significant milestone by developing one of the first custom platforms for a server-based email marketing solution, demonstrating their innovative approach and commitment to meeting the needs of their clients.
Ira and his team and newly branded company, GPC Digital, will tell you the truth; whether you like it or not, they focus on specific solutions, tailored to your business that make you more money. Success is not a guarantee within any segment of all industries. However, GPC Digital will utilize its experience since the infancy of web-based technology to make the best-educated decisions on what strategies, platforms, and solutions should be implemented based on the needs of each client. GPC Digital conducts a needs analysis with every client to determine the best solution for its business needs. The Team will interview you, as a client, as much as you interview them because, ultimately, a lot of time, money, and orchestration goes into any successful web implementation.
His Team morphed into a full-service web and marketing agency during the infancy of the web, helping clients with branding, copywriting, and web development while setting up client-server environments (Which meant setting up company networks and computer systems so they could be efficient in their day-to-day operations). Back then, e-business consulting became the catchphrase, as many companies were far behind on the hardware side of technology, including their business networks, office Wi-Fi, and security, the prerequisites for any business to achieve its revenue goals and overall success. Change enablement was the other consulting catchphrase, which they now refer to as management consulting, which focuses more on the functional aspects of the business, like training and development. Ira used his education in human resource development, coupled with his tech knowledge, coupled with the tools and technical resources that are newly available to help companies identify, build and deliver websites that were money-generating tools. Ira’s consulting career began during the web’s infancy.
Over the years, Ira and his Team served clients across 15 US marketplaces, including one of the original “Big Five” consulting companies, Anderson Consulting (Which re-branded as Accenture), Advocate Health Care (Which was the 13th largest employer in IL at the time), @properties, DeStefano Development, Glascott Realty, The Wilcox Company, Mind Body Medical (Under the operation of Dr. Dominick Gaziano), Group 3 Promotions (Which was acquired by Draft Worldwide and later morphed into Foote Cone and Belding), Genentech, Pack Pharmaceutical, McDonald’s, Red Bull, The Berwyn Township of IL, The Berwyn Health Department, The Berwyn Townshio and The Berwyn General Assistance, Alternative Beverage, MA (One of Chicago’s most progressive CBD Beverage Companies) and more. Ira has been involved on the logic side of developing multiple software and mobile applications, became an ASP (Active Service Provider) for a handful of products, worked in video production and event marketing for agencies, offered full-service, turnkey solutions for over 300 restaurants, hotels, and night clubs and was involved in building over 800 websites over the past 24 years.
